What the app stores on your phone

The app stores recordings and the session details you enter: participant name, age, gender, country, text ID, and the assigned sentences. Session records also include dates, recording durations, audio settings, and quality-check results. Spanish speech checks run on the phone using the included model.

Recordings and recovery copies are stored in the app’s private storage, with output files written to the folder you choose through Android. Microphone tests use temporary files and do not create participant sessions.

Permissions and microphone behavior

Microphone

Used for sentence recordings, the audio level meter, and microphone tests. On the foreground recording screen, the microphone can stay active between takes to avoid startup settling noise; those between-take samples are discarded. A saved take includes the short opening and ending recording intervals. The app releases the microphone when it leaves the foreground or the phone is locked.

Internet

Used when you choose Settings → Check for app updates to retrieve public release information from this website. This request does not include your recordings or participant details. Opening the download page uses your browser.

Files you select

Android’s file and folder pickers grant access to the TXT script and output folder you choose. This build does not declare broad storage access.

This build does not declare permissions for contacts, location, camera, SMS, or phone calls.

What happens when you share

The app has no automatic recording-upload service. When you choose ZIP sharing, Android lets you select another app and a recipient. The export includes audio, sentence text, recording details, and a participant Excel sheet with name, age, age group, gender, country/text ID, and export date. Separate Excel exports may include multiple sessions you selected.

Check the recipient before sending. The delivery service and the recipient then handle those copies under their own terms and your project agreement. This download website does not accept participant recordings, identity documents, or completed agreements.

Keeping and removing copies

Local session files remain until removed. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the app’s private copies, but does not remove files exported to your chosen folder or copies already sent to another person. Ask your organizer about retention and deletion of submitted data. Removing the app does not withdraw a signed consent or delete the recipient’s copies.

Website visits and update checks

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Visiting it, downloading the APK, or checking for updates sends normal connection information, such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser or app request metadata, to the hosting service. Cloudflare may use operational logs and necessary security cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and cookie information.

The download page has no advertising, participant-upload form, or visitor analytics code added by Kaiyisa. It does not request microphone access in your browser. This app build contains no advertising or analytics SDK.

Project uses, consent, and requests

Voice recordings can identify a person. Before recording, review the project’s full authorization and data terms, including intended AI uses, recipients, any international transfers, retention, and how to ask for access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. A parent or legal guardian must be involved where required for a participant under 18. Read the participant checklist.
